The character of Iago in Shakespeares Othello is possibly Shakespeares darkest character, not because he kills order characters but for his almost supernatural ability to manipulate the different figures of the play. He manipulates the other characters into following their admit agendas and all the ecological succession coming closer to his goal of bringing Othello to his d inducefall. However, Iago needs an hero if he is going to destroy Othello, this comes in the form of Othellos own inner demons. Iagos manipulations set the lay out for Othellos demise however, it is ultimately Othellos inner demons that bring about his tragical end. Iagos soliloquies give the reader an amazing insight into his mind. His first in Act 1 sc. 3. details his hatred for the Mo or I hate the Moor.
